I know, I know, nobody wants to hear about . It’s boring as all get out, and it’ll probably not happen to you. Except that it is happening, to more and more of us each year. Knowledge is power in this game. Know how it works, what to do and what not to do, and diminish your chance of being ripped off.

Blog Carnivals: can they pimp a pillar post?

carnivalOne thing that annoys me about blogging is how ridiculously update-centric it is. It makes sense if you have a breaking news blog with heaps of daily readers, but most of us don’t.   So why are people only interested in one’s latest posting?  I’d like to get a little more bloggerific juice out of an article I spent several hours writing and a lifetime accumulating the knowledge for  than just a couple of comments the first day it comes out.     I’d also prefer to move away from such as Eleven Signs that your blog sucks. I know my Entrecard droppers liked that one, but I want to write more serious and technically focused articles that will never be popular in the general blogosphere.
