They couldn’t be too long in coming! The best thing about Twitter is its API. I was told by someone in the know that 90% of Twitter’s traffic comes through its API, not through people directly surfing it. Anyway, the new lists are GREAT. They should have been there from the get-go but oh well. Here is Twitter’s widget to track lists. This is my geek list. Since I don’t know any cool automated listing management tools yet, these geeks I put on here by hand. If you want to be on it and you’re not, just ask.

it’s nice widget tools for tweeting on our blog
I’m finding the new lists feature to be great for classifying the people/businesses you follow and look to for information. When you are following thousands of people, maintaining proper lists will be the only way to wade through all those updates in a timely manner.
Please add @GreenEnergyNews to your list if possible… I think your readers would enjoy the eco-geek content =)

I’ve already arranged the lists on my personal account and yes, they are quite useful. I think with Twitter, you create “social circles”, so it’s nice to be able to see the feed for each circle separately.

I’m really not sure about Twitter. I think that recent years blogging transformed to something else that it should be in first place. I still like to read blogs that are coming from the heart, not only from financial needs.
I agree, the new list function is awesome. This helps me keep track of things a lot more effectively and I don’t lose or neglect as many followers now. I think that the more popular Twitter becomes, the more developments they will come up with. I just hope they don’t start charging for their service or updates in the future.

I have come to know first time about API, it does look a very great information and something i have learnt here.
This is all very intresting, but I wouldnt mind some help in showing the live results of a twitter search (which is presented as RSS) on my webpage using php.
I have tried lots of different ways nothing ever shows though.
I believe you can just get the feed address and plug it into one of many RSS widgets, so you don’t have to use PHP.
I am very happy with these apps, I had never used it for my blog.

Great Information about Twitter Apps. I have just started using this apps a few days ago and my twitter list has doubled in those few days. It’s easy to use and I definitely recommend it!
