Privacy Policy

This blog in general is public, and we don’t really know or care who you are.  Every web server logs your IP in our server logs.  We rarely use that information.    If you comment we capture your email address so we can respond to your comment.  But it does not go on a list or anything. If you register, log in,  or create a post, obviously we do have a handle for you, with your obvious knowledge and consent, otherwise you wouldn’t do it.

We need to create an explicit privacy policy because at some point we may put Adsense ads on this blog, and Google has implemented or will shortly be implementing interest-based advertising, which requires the following additional disclosure:

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, click here.
